Privacy notice
This notice explains how Craddock Financial Solutions Ltd ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal data, and the rights you have over it. We are the data controller for the information you give us. Review this text with your compliance contact at CMME before the site goes live.
What we collect
When you submit an enquiry through this website we collect your name, email address, telephone number, the type of enquiry you select and whatever you write in the message box. Our host also records standard server log data, including your IP address, for security and diagnostics.
If you go on to become a client, we will collect the further information needed to give advice and submit an application — including income, expenditure, credit history, property details and identity documents.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To answer your enquiry and provide the advice you have asked for — our lawful basis is that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To submit applications to lenders, insurers and providers on your instruction — necessary for the performance of our contract with you.
- To meet our regulatory, anti-money-laundering and record-keeping obligations — necessary for compliance with a legal obligation.
- To keep this website secure and working — necessary for our legitimate interests.
Where we process special category data (for example health information for a protection application) we rely on your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We share your data with CMME Mortgages and Protection Limited as our principal firm, and with lenders, insurers, providers, sourcing systems, solicitors and valuers where that is necessary to progress your case. We also use IT suppliers who process data on our behalf under contract. We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it to lenders before you ask us to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not proceed are held for up to 12 months. Client files are retained for a minimum of six years after the end of our relationship, in line with FCA record-keeping requirements, and longer where a product has a longer term.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask for erasure or restriction, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
